This elegant hotel is centrally situated next to Plaça Espanya, mere minutes from Montjuic’s fountains and conveniently located for the events and exhibition centre, along with the numerous surrounding attractions.

The hotel houses spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation with Italian marble bathrooms, as well as an indoor pool, gym and a restaurant that serves fine Catalan and international cuisine. The area features excellent transport links, just a few metro stops from Barcelona’s old town and Gothic quarter. The airport bus stops at Plaça Espanya offering a straightforward journey, as well as the tourist bus which is a great way to discover this cosmopolitan city.

Placa Espanya is one of the city’s central hubs and is home to the MNAC art museum, Spanish Village, Miró Museum and the Olympic Stadium, all of which are interesting places to visit.

The truly impressive conference facilities offer 18 versatile state-of-the-art meeting rooms, the largest houses up to 1200 people seated theatre style.

The indoor swimming pool includes a massage cascade and water jets. The gym, sauna and swimming pool are open Monday to Friday from 07:00 until 22:00. On Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays they are open between 09:00 and 21:00, except for 25 of December and 1January. The use of a bathing cap in the swimming pool is compulsory.

Free wireless, internet access is available for 30 minutes every day with the laptop provided in the room or using the Internet Point located in the lobby.

Food & beverage

The El Mall restaurant offers a wide selection of the finest Catalan and international cuisine. Served in a quiet atmosphere, here you can enjoy a true Catalan experience.

You can also relax in the elegant and comfortable setting of Scruples Piano Bar. Choose from the wide variety of cocktails, liqueurs and other drinks, all served by the helpful and courteous staff.

Room information

The Hotel Fira Palace has the largest bedrooms in the city. Each of the 276 rooms is 42 m² in area and there are 2 queen-size beds in most of the rooms. There are also 17 comfortable junior suites and a luxurious presidential suite.

All rooms have double glazed windows with exterior views, air conditioning with individual climate control and are soundproofed. The Italian marble bathrooms are split into three different areas with separate shower cabin and are very well equipped .

Area information

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, right next to the well-known Plaza España square and Gran Via Avenue, strategically situated for the events and exhibition centre. It is also within extremely easy walking distance of the Montjuïc Fountain with its sound and light show, National Palace, MNAC National Art Museum of Catalonia, Museum Fundació Caixa Forum, Spanish Village, Greek Theatre, Miró Museum and the Olympic Ring among many other attractions.

There are excellent transport links as the Bus Turistic and the Aerobus which runs directly to the airport have a stop at Plaza España. The famous Las Ramblas Street, Columbus Monument and the sea front are a short distance away, a 20 minute walk. El Prat international airport is 8 km away and the Barcelona Sants central railway station is 1.5 km away.

Good location for touring the Montjuic area, easy access to Metro and Aeroport Bus stop at Placa Espana. We did take a taxi to the airport as we left early, the cost was 20 euros.

The Internet availibility in lobby and free 30 min. in room each day. The Gym and the pool, breakfast was great too.

Beds are hard as a board, and Metro was a few blocks away
